The month of April was a great month for boxes, with Meraki Candles having announced previously that it would be the month we get our first Anime quarterly box as well as our normal box. When Heather announced the theme for April I was so excited. As a big fan of fantasy, I couldn’t wait to see what she would do for this box. The Etsy post had this to say:
If you’ve ever dreamed of visiting a mythical city or trekking though a magical creature infested landscape, then this is the box for you.
We’ve put together the ultimate bookish location box which features some of the most amazing and awe-inspiring places in fantasy literature.
The box will feature items from Lord of The Rings, The Mistborn series and Game of thrones and we’ll be working with some truly talented shops such as Bookworm Boutique and Till and Dill.
If you’re like me, you’d have been eyeing up the stores included, but hadn’t gotten around to buying anything yet. I was ecstatic to finally get something from Till & Dill. But first, onto the candles:
The first was Elendel. From Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn series. The scent was jasmine, amber and musk. I’m still pretty new to the Mistborn series but i did like the scent combination.
The second was Essos from A Game Of Thrones/A Song Of Ice and Fire. The scent was lemon, orange and aromatic wood. I really liked this scent as it made me think of hot summery days.
The third candle is probably my favourite of the scents from this batch, Narnia. From The Chronicles Of Narnia, inspired in particularly by The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe. The scent was menthol, lavender and pine. Using this candle I could pretend that I had really stepped through the wardrobe into Narnia.
Last but not least, we have Rivendell. From the Tolkienverse, most known from Lord Of The Rings. This is my favourite fandom from this box, and I adore that I got a candle dedicated to my favourite place in Middle Earth. The scents were wildflower and cashmere woods.
Next up we have the goodies!
Firstly we have this cute little Camp Half-Blood pin.
Next up we have a tote bag from Bookworm Boutique. The bag quotes arguably the most popular quote of ‘Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost’. I love this bag so much, but it’s white and I’m super accident prone, so I’m going to be turning it into a cushion cover so I can use it and not risk ruining it.
The last item of this box is the thing I was most excited for; the Till and Dill bookmark! This is such great quality, and just like any of their other artworks is beautiful. Thanks to this, I have since added quite a few to my bookmark collection.
As always there is the spoiler card and bookmark from DinoMyte Art. I really liked the colour combinations for this artwork.
Here is my unboxing photo, as shared on my instagram The Pufflehuffle Kitteh.
The photo used as featured photo, is the same one from the store for this box. It was taken by Meraki candles rep MLovesReading.
